The 1985 Jaguar XJ6 was manufactured by Jaguar of Great Britain, which had started manufacturing Jaguar XJ6 cars from 1968. Jaguar XJ6 series cars were marketed in I, II, and III series generations.

Coming to mechanical features of the 1985 Jaguar XJ6, it was designed with a 2792 cc DOHC inline-six cylinder engine that could generate 140 hp at 4750 RPM. The engine produced torque of 150 foot-pounds at 2500.00 RPM and was matched to standard five-speed manual transmission along with an optional overdrive.
The high end trim also had an optional 4235 cc inline-six cylinder engine, which could upgrade the power level and torque to nearly 175hp and 225 foot-pounds respectively.
